Jonathan McHugh Bio TIME ZERO PRODUCER Tulane Graduate, Jonathan McHugh has spend over 20 years in film, TV production, music supervision, and soundtrack creation, but never lost his love and passion for New Orleans, getting married there and attending every Jazz Fest for the last 27 years not to mention countless Mardi Gras's and productions shoots. The "Time Zero" art project represents his first collaboration with Robert Sturman whom he met as former Grammy LA Chapter Presidency. In film, his first ever co-production, shot partially in Louisiana, was MTV /Paramount Pictures; "Crossroads". In theatres now is his newest production which he co-wrote and produced, the hip-hop/horror film anthology; "Snoop Dogs Hood of Horror." The next feature he will be producing is the rock opera "Repo", directed and produced by the creators of the "Saw" horror franchise. In TV McHugh was responsible recently for bringing a crew of over 100 to New Orleans to shoot the up coming reality show "Bodog Music's Battle of the Bands", starring Johnny Rotten. Muddy Girls/Song Stew productions, (a company he runs with his wife Karen) also set up New Orleans own "The Imagination Movers" with a show on the Disney Channel that will begin running this fall. Through his experiences independently with Song Stew, Sony/Jive Records, New Line Cinema and A&M he produced and marketed over 20 soundtracks, including hits like "Friday Night Lights, Stomp the Yard, Step Up, the Wood, Austin Powers, the Wedding Singer, Rush Hour, Boogie Nights, Blade, Spawn and Mortal Combat I, the 70's Show, Empire Records and the Academy Award nominated, Don Juan Demarco. McHugh has music supervised over 30 film and TV projects including; Kissing Cousins Doubletime, Nobel Son, Saw I, II & III, Rize, Driftwood, 2001Maniacs, Be Here To Love Me, Charm School, PS, Dumb and Dumberer, On the Line, Roger Dodger, the Secret Lives of Dentists, as well as the TV movie's A Tail of Two Bunnies, The Lone Ranger and the first season of the hit WB TV show Girlfriends. He is currently a National Grammy trustee and policy maker with the Grammy organization. |
